MISSED CALLS

You miss the call. They ring the next tradie.

You may be driving, quoting or on the tools. The customer still wants to know that somebody has heard them.

WHAT IS GOING WRONG?

The missed call is not the real problem. Silence is.

A customer does not know why you missed the call. If they hear nothing, they assume you are too busy or not interested. Then they keep ringing until somebody answers.

FIX THE HANDOVER

Make the next step obvious.

01

Acknowledge the call

Send a short message that says you are working and will call back. Do not pretend it was a personal reply if it was automatic.

02

Ask one useful question

Ask what they need, where the job is and when they need help. That gives you something useful before you call.

03

Give the call to one person

Put the name, number, job and callback time in one place. One person owns the next call.
